FIRST BLOG POST. This is a big moment for me. This website has been a long time coming. I have had to overcome a lot of hurdles to get to this point, and I can't tell you how good it feels to finally arrive. I'm so thankful for all of the support and encouragement that I have received for my work, and I can't wait to start this journey of turning what I love into what I get paid to love. Photography is so important to me. The creation of a photograph, and all that goes into it inspires me. The majority of my family works in the medical field in some form. For a long time I struggled to find how I fit in to that field, and it just wasn't coming to me. Instead of finding comfort in the exact science of medicine, I found my passion through the objective, through creation, through the act of creating.  I loved that I could pour my emotions, my opinions and my passion into a project and it could speak to people on a deeper level. I have always leaned towards writing and storytelling, and photography allows me to do all of those things. I am a storyteller, I am a writer and I am creating something that inspires me, and hopefully others too. I am so excited to begin this new adventure. I hope that this will be a long road that takes me winding through all the chapters of my life, that I will meet many new people, that I will tell many stories and that I will inspire someone along the way. Thank you for encouraging me, for supporting me, and to many of you thank you for inspiring me. "Little by little, one travels far," and far is just where I hope to go.
