Old Tarboo Wildflower Farm Wedding | Becca + Justin
Becca + Justin, ahhhhh what a perfect couple. Becca and Justin met one night when Becca and her cousin went out for drinks at a bar where Justin was bartending. Her cousin arrived first and warned Justin that he better prepare himself and have food ready because her cousin was on her way and she was HANGRY. (Her cousin told this story during the toasts, and I was crying from laughter). He was smitten with her from the start, and the rest was history. They got married at Old Tarboo Farm - a wildflower farm near Quilcene, Washington. There were flowers everywhere, and all of the details were so thoughtful - handmade soaps, lavender to throw as they walked down the aisle, a kids table set up with coloring books and bubbles and other crafts, parasols, and a dessert table set up on an old white pickup truck decked out with an R + J. Becca is a professional dancer, so when it came time for the DJ to start the music, I wasnβt surprised when the dance floor was packed and it turned out half the guests were all incredible dancers, too. A really special component of this wedding was Justinβs daughter Lily - Iβd met Lily at Becca and Justinβs engagement session and got to see the bond between her and Becca. So it brought me close to tears when directly after the ceremony Lily ran to Becca, and the entire bridal party gathered around the couple as she lifted Lily into her arms as everyone cheered and cried and hugged each other in celebration, most of all Lily. Another very special (tearful) moment was when Beccaβs dad brought out his guitar during his toast and sang a song he had written for the couple; it was simple and beautiful, funny at times, and I could see that it was hitting home for everyone watching.
This was just one of those weddings where everything came together perfectly, the kind where I was hugging everyone goodbye as I left, sad to leave but so happy to have been apart of something so tangibly good.
