ABOUT ME
HEY! I’M CHELSEA
BUT YOU CAN CALL ME CHELS
* * * * *
I’m your resident 5 foot photographer turned bff, ready to guide you into the elopement or wedding of your dreams. I grew up believing that experience is the ultimate teacher. That you’d be hard-pressed to find a more worthy avenue for your time and resources in this life. If you resonate with that philosophy, we’re bound to hit it off.

O N Y O U R D A Y
I’m your champion and I’m there for you.
I keep things on schedule, I keep your hair in place and lipstick off your teeth,
I hug your grandma and make sure she gets to have a moment with you.

Camera Shy?
I promise, EVERY couple feels this way at first. I know that being in front of a camera can be intimidating, so I do everything to make sure you hear how good you look; you’ll never have to ask what to do with your hands!
I’m not going to immediately whip out my camera and then expect you to just start posing. We’re going to walk and talk first, I’m going to tell you the game-plan, and then while we’re shooting I’m going to be directing you, either through prompts to get you and your partner interacting, or through suggestions. I focus on the best angles and all the small details so that you can just focus on being in the moment with your partner and having fun!

Why does photography matter?
Being your wedding photographer is amazing, but it’s so much more to me than that. You know that feeling you get when you experience something for the first time? Maybe you get goosebumps, or you can’t stop smiling, or maybe you’re like me and you melt into a puddle of emotion? I want that to be your wedding day. I want it to be your highest high. And I want to preserve that experience for you in a way that you can return to again and again. Because our time here is so short, and those goosebump moments don’t happen often.
When I want to relive some of my happiest experiences, I go to the photos, and they take me straight back.

Not just another vendor
Picture this: You’re standing hand in hand with your partner, you’ve just finished reading your vows. The wind moves gently through your hair, your eyes are closed. You hear nature all around you. You’re present in this moment. You’ve never felt more content.
I want this to be you! I want you to feel so at peace on your wedding day because we’ve put in the time for months beforehand to build trust, so you know I’ve got you. My ultimate goal is for you to have the most epic wedding, on your terms. We’re going to be spending a lot of time together on the most important day of your life, so when you’re in front of the camera, I want you to feel confident being yourselves without hesitation because you feel at ease with ME. So I dedicate time to make sure I know the real you. I listen to your fears and concerns so that I can be your advocate and helper on your wedding day, not just another vendor.

Advocating for your love story
The reason I’ve chosen this career path is because I believe that every person has a love story that deserves to be told. And every person deserves a safe, sacred space to experience that love story and to mark it in stone.
As an empath and a storyteller, I am all about creating that space for you. From the moment you reach out, I’m committed to building that relationship with you to make sure that what I capture of your love story is true and authentic to you. I believe in supporting love stories no matter your shape, sizes, gender or skin color. I believe in being a steward of this earth and leaving it better than I found it. I believe in equality and inclusivity, and I believe most of all in celebrating your love story!
A LITTLE MoRE ABOUT ME
I’m originally from southern California, but have been living in Seattle for over a decade. I'm an enneagram 2 and an INFJ with a major love for life and adventure, which I attribute to my dad who made sure every childhood summer was spent on the road. I have a sweet old cat named Mylo, and a rambunctious goldendoodle named Ted (but he’s Kevin when he’s naughty). I live in Seattle with my amazing husband, Alex.

In a few words
I’m a thrift-store frequenter, farmers-market regular, and lover of laughter, deep talks, day-dreaming and enthusiastic people. I love flowers, driving around looking at old houses, and the feeling of sun on my face.

I'm an explorer through and through, and I like to think that photography has always been calling out to me. As a kid, I spent my days wandering along the hills beyond my house, observing and exploring, scraping my knees on the rocks and trees that always found their way home with me in bits and pieces. The love between two people invokes those same feelings I had as a kid when I'd stumble upon a new and beautiful place I'd never seen - it's otherworldly, inspiring, and a little glimpse of magic in a too-real world. Those are the moments I want to document and the art that I strive to create. I hope that my photos inspire you to seize the day, and hold your loved ones a little tighter.
Welcome to my little corner of the internet; I’m so happy you’re here.
