Spring Adventure Session in Sedona, Arizona | Kaitlin + Cody
There’s somehting about Sedona that feels otherwordly. The red dirt that stains the soles of your boots, the prehistoric landscape of towering cliffs and spires, and the feeling of peace that washes over you the more time you spend there - I see why so many people are drawn to it. Kaitlin and Cody drove from Phoenix to meet me for sunset at Bell Rock. We spent some time catching up and rummaging around the trunk of their car, narrowing down outfit options before making our way to the trailhead. You can either choose to circumnavigate the base of the rock, or head straight up it’s sandstone ledges toward the pillars that make up the ‘Bell' in bell rock. We made our way straight up the path, choosing the higher elevation to take advantage of the view of the canyon below.
I find so much joy in photographing couples - learning their unique way of connecting with each other and showing affection - and while I’m always there to direct and offer guidance and prompts, it’s amazing when we get to the place where I can just sit back and be an observer and documenter as they explore and play and experience a beautiful location together. We had so much fun roaming around Bell rock for this session - it was a perfect spring day, with the smell of juniper and pine all around us and bits of cotton floating gently through the air, catching the light.
I cannot wait to return to this magical place.
