San Francisco City Hall Elopement | Suzanne + Christopher
Suzanne and Christopher, how do I even start to share about this wedding?! From our first consultation, I felt an immediate connection to these two. Our initial meeting went on for hours because we had so much to talk about and share. I remembered loving the way they interacted with each other - how smitten they both were and how I left that day with aching cheeks from smiling along with them as they shared their story with me. I told them to take their time deciding, but 20 minutes after weβd said our goodbyes, they ran back through the door and said they had to have me and brought me in for a huge hug. THESE are my people, I remembered thinking. Fast forward a few months, and I received a call from Christopher. Theyβd decided that the wedding planning had gotten away from them; the wedding no longer felt like a reflection of what they truly wanted. So, he asked, instead of the wedding theyβd planned in Washington, would I fly to San Francisco with them for the weekend and photograph their wedding at city hall?...YES. I was so humbled and flattered that despite moving venues AND moving states, they knew that I was still the right person for them and were willing to fly me out to be apart of their weekend. This was truly the dream scenario for me. It brings me so much more joy and fulfillment when my relationship with my couples goes beyond just the time spent together on the wedding day. When I feel like I truly know who you are together, when I feel welcomed into your lives for this season, I have a richer context and foundation upon which to capture these moments celebrating your relationship. Suzanne and Christopher - I love you two and Iβm so happy to have witnessed this celebration of your love!
